Fruit Salad is a most delightful, palate-teasing collection of verse for child ren and the young at heart. Writer by a loving grandfather, these largely humorous poems explore the byways and magical landscapes of childhood, with its toys, mysterious gardens, new things to learn and everyday treats. Along the way we meet Robin Hood, Tarzan, Father Christmas, fire, rain and snow, a horse called Tiger, a friendly sparrow and of course our devoted parents...Maybe they'll help us gather together apples, bananas, pears and other fruit from the trees and make a deliciously tasty bowl of...fruit salad!
